It has been one very snowy, VERY cold winter. I'm not a big fan of winter, so to say I'm over this winter is a complete understatement. Bring on the heat of summer (and the shorts, dresses, pool, and so many other wonderful things).

Picture Perfect: Movie Night
One of my goals for this summer was to read chapter books to my kids. It was a good memory form my childhood. I also think it's so good for them to learn to listen to books without pictures, to learn to sit and listen, and to grow their love for reading. We chose Charlotte's Web first. Nana and Papa had given the kids the new Charlotte's Web for Easter. So after we had finished the book we watched the movie with pizza, popcorn, and M&M brownies. It was fun!

Picture Perfect: Father's Day
For Father's Day, Tony allowed time to go to the pool. It was fun to watch the kids with their Daddy.

Picture Perfect: Award's Night
Sweet Pea had her award's night for Cubbies at the end of April. We are so proud of her. Big Brother had his a week later but we didn't take any pictures that I can post here.

Picture Perfect: First Day of School
We had our FIFTH (yes, you read that right) first day of school. Baby Girl and Addilece are now in the same PreK class together.

Picture Perfect: Easter
We had a great Easter. It was fun having the kids in matching outfits. My mom came to spend the weekend with us, which was incredible! We enjoyed church and did an Easter Egg hunt. This year we also "hide" ribbons all over our yard in hopes that we will see them in bird's nests this spring.

Picture Perfect: Demolation
We recently start remodeling our downstairs bathroom. It is nasty! Addilece has fondly labeled it the "Yucky Bathroom". We are so excited to finally be able to have a second bathroom.

Picture Perfect: First Day of School
We just had our 4th first day of school. There was an opening in the afternoon class of the PreK program that Little Man is in. Sweet Pea happened to be the next one on the list. This was a super hard decision for us but we decided due to our lives right now that this was a good move for her. She loves the Princess book bag Daddy bought for her.

Picture Perfect: Snow Day
Our boys had a snow day recently. One of our kids don't handle changes like that well. The new schedule throws them for a complete loop. So I decided to meet the problem head on. I took floor tape my parents had given us and made a "town" for their cars, Little People, and buildings. It was pretty successful. They played for 2 1/2 hours straight, which is pretty incredible. It didn't take away the struggle from the one child but put a cushion between them and their siblings so I could deal with it.

Picture Perfect: The Ballet
Daddy took Sweet Pea to the Ballet the other day. A local Company was preforming The Nutcracker. Sweet Pea was SO excited. We think she really enjoyed it. She asked if next time they could take Baby Girl also. Gotta love this little girls heart!
| She loved picking out the perfect dress! |
| Tony bought a candy bar from this ballerina in order to score a picture with her. |

Picture Perfect: School Again? and Thankful
November marks something great AND something scary.
First, I took a "First Day of School" shot of the hubs this morning. He headed out the door with his laptop, ready to begin his year and a 1/2 MBA. It is quit a bit scary. Big Brother asked him why he was taking the computer. He explained that when you go to school as an adult you need a computer a lot of times. Then he said, "It's like my notebook....well, it is a notebook." Big Brother didn't quit get it. :)
Something I love about November is Thanksgiving. This is quickly becoming a favorite holiday of mine. We started Thankful leaves this year and were even better about staying on top of them this year. With six people in this family we have a LOT of things to be thankful for. The kids love watching it grow. They keep saying, "It's almost gone all the way around the room!" No color this year though....trying to keep it more simple.
So, what are you thankful for?

Picture Perfect: Big Bubbles
For her birthday Sweet Pea received a big bubble maker. It's been way to dry this summer to be able to use it properly. However, as fall approaches the rains and humidity have returned. While waiting for the kids to return home from a visit one night we got some good use out of it.
